Line of Symmetry
Line symmetry- a line running through the centre of an object or design, it can also be called a line of reflection.
- like an imaginary line where you can fold the image and have both halves match exactly
-these lines can be vertical, horizontal, or oblique
- a figure may have more than one line of symmetry

Rotation
Definitions:
- Center of rotation- the point where the rotation of an object or design turns
- Rotation Symmetry- occurs when a shape or design can be turned about its center of rotation so that it fits onto its outline more than once on a complete turn
- Order of Rotations- the number of times a shape or design fits onto itself in a complete turn
- Angle of Rotation- the minimum measure of the angle needed to turn a shape or design onto itself
Surface Area
The sum of the areas of all the faces of an object.
Surface area of a square- side multiplied by 4?
Surface area of a cube-side * 6 squared
Surface area of a rectangle- l * w (length multiplied by width)
Surface are of a rectangular prism- (2l*w)+(2l*w)+(2l*w)
Surface are of a circle- pi*r sqaured
Surface area of a cylinder- 2(pi*r squared)+(2* pi* r)* h
